It’s not just our spine that needs to keep moving, but our body as a whole. Sitting for prolonged periods has been shown to shorten one’s life span. Researchers found that the more hours you sit, the shorter you live. Doctors therefore recommend moving around for 1-2 minutes every 30 minutes of sitting in order to prevent the negative effects of sitting.
